John P. Pavone

As Signatures President, John P. Pavone is responsible for the strategic planning and overall direction of SMG and its various divisions of hotel, casino and technology areas. Pavone guides Signature's growth through vertical integration in various related industries.

Mr. Pavone founded Signature Management Group in 1982. His career has spanned over thirty years of service to the hotel and casino industry and has held positions within many of the Nation’s most respected and trusted companies.

Mr. Pavone has held various executive positions including:

  • Vice President / General Manager for the Argosy Gaming Company - Baton Rouge Louisiana/
    Sioux City Iowa
  • Vice President Basom Inc- San Antonio Texas
  • Vice President General Manager Buena Vista Hospitality - Orlando Florida
  • Director of Operations Jaymont Resorts - Jay Vermont

Mr. Pavone possesses the highest accreditations by the American Hotel & Motel Association, and has an educational background in Developmental Psychology and Business law. Mr. Pavone Served as the co founder and President of the Iowa Gaming Association and also represented the Iowa Gaming community as the State Representative for the American Gaming Association under the Direction of Mr. Frank Farhenkopf, based in Washington DC.
Pavone has established relationships with many of the Nation’s leading C.E.O’s and publicly traded companies and lenders throughout the course of his career.

As the Vice President of Bascom, Inc., an asset management firm that specialized in the restructure and repositioning of several hotel properties for the Resolution Trust Corporation, FDIC and FSLIC. Mr. Pavone successfully restructured properties for lenders, publicly traded companies and partnerships nationwide.

Michael Hlavsa

As Vice President COO, Michael oversees the day-to-day operations, primarily in the area of casino operations and support. Michael leads the Company’s management team in day-to-day decisions regarding management of existing facilities and will concentrate on seeking new opportunities in the areas of Native American gaming.
